TUTORING

Hello! I teach private writing lessons through two approaches:

Creative WritingWriting is an art!
Learn foundational reading and writing skills and practice creativity at the same time. Through creative writing and fun, personalized projects (poetry collection, newspapers, personal essays, novels, etc.), my students discover a life-long love of reading and writing beyond school.

Academic WritingWriting well is key to success!
Improve academic writing and reading comprehension for essay writing, college applications, and standardized exams (ISEE, SAT, AP Lang, AP Lit, etc.). I give my students advanced texts and university-level writing techniques to prepare them for future success.

Lessons include:

  • detailed monthly lesson updates

  • personalized lesson plans based on student's interests and goals

  • completed writing project(s) which can be shared and/or published

  • a curated list of book recommendations to challenge your child's reading skills
